Tigerland Brass Quintet

Matthew Breuer is from Herndon, Virginia. In May of 2014 he received a Bachelor of Music Degree from Louisiana State University. He is currently serving as a graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico, with duties within the trombone studio, jazz studies area, wind symphony, symphony orchestra, and graduate brass quintet, while pursuing a Master's Degree in Music Performance under Dr. Chris Buckholz. He is active in Albuquerque playing with big bands, latin bands, and more. His past teachers include Jeff Cortazzo, Bill Holmes, Barry Hearn, Sylvia Alimena, Jeannie Little, and Steve Menard. He has performed with the U.S. Army Blues Jazz Ensemble, the Baton Rouge Symphony, Acadiana Symhpony, and the Brass of Peace.
