Nicholas Fife - Horn 

 

 

 

A native of Fort Mill, South Carolina,  Mr. Fife received his undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina and his Masters degree from Louisiana State University, where he was the graduate teaching assistant for the horn studio.  His professional career began during undergraduate studies, performing with Symphony Orchestra Augusta and the South Carolina Philharmonic.  He has also performed with the Charlotte Symphony Orchestra, Victoria Symphony Orchestra, Cleveland Philharmonic, Freedom Brass Band, Louisiana Sinfonietta, Baton Rouge Symphony, Erie Philharmonic, Beaufort Symphony Orchestra, Canton Symphony Orchestra, Lake Murray Symphony,  True North Chamber Orchestra, Square Brass Quintet and Norem Brass Quintet.  Nicholas's primary teachers were Seth Orgel at LSU, Robert Pruzin at USC, and Christopher Griffin in high school. In December of 2013 Mr. Fife earned the second horn position with the Beloit Janesville Symphony. He has also been a finalist for the Erie Philharmonic, the South Carolina Philharmonic, the Victoria Symphony and the USAF Band of Mid America.  In October of 2014 Nicholas joined the music faculty at the Fine Arts Association in Willoughby, OH, and taught there for the academic year. Currently Mr. Fife is earning his DMA at the University of Texas at Austin, studying  horn with Patrick Hughes.
